Take the bus to the ballpark!

Spring is here, and in Detroit that means one thing: baseball season! The 2006 American League Champion Detroit Tigers kick off their home opener on Monday, April 2. After last year’s amazing run, 2007 will be an exciting year. We may even see the return of last year’s sold-out Tiger Trains.

Don’t let traffic and parking hassles ruin your fun. Take the bus to the ballpark!

Most downtown-bound DDOT and SMART busses stop near Comerica Park in Foxtown. Or hop off the bus downtown and take the People Mover to Grand Circus Park.  Check out our spring newsletter or Take the Bus to the Ballpark webpage for a list of major routes downtown. Check with DDOT and SMART for current times and schedules.

Another option – Take your own Tiger Train

Amtrak departs Pontiac at 11am and 4:30pm, stopping in Birmingham and Royal Oak on it’s way to Detroit’s New Center. Ride the #53 bus down Woodward to the ballpark and back. Return trains leave New Center at 7:45pm and 12:30am. Check with Amtrak for current schedules and train status.
