People all throughout this region need to learn the benefits of improved transit so they will support investing in transit improvements. So throughout this spring and summer, TRU will be reaching out to people at festivals and fireworks to:
- Update members of the public on local and regional transit developments;
- Collect email addresses so we can inform them of RTA Master Plan release on May 31 and subsequent public meetings; and
- Discuss the essential components of a great regional transit system.

Our first big outreach event will be this weekend at MI Earth Day Fest in downtown Rochester, Saturday April 23 from 11am-6pm and Sunday April 24 from 10am-4pm. Call Ruth at the TRU office (313-963-8872) if you can help out this weekend! You’ll receive on-site training and materials when you come.
