ACT NOW: Sign the Transportation for America Petition to Save Transit

A sliver of good news – the stimulus proposal by the Senate includes $20 billion for transit operations and $1 billion for Amtrak!

But things are changing fast and the House is in the midst of crafting their own bill right now.

Even in these challenging and rapidly changing times, transportation remains a lifeline for many of the most vital workers, like nurses, grocery workers, and janitors. It is part of the public health response to this crisis. Once the pandemic is over, economic realities will mean we need transit even more than ever. So we need transit to receive the funding to survive these times.

If you haven’t yet, please ACT NOW to tell your congressmembers that transit is critical and must be included in any emergency funding bill! Click here to sign Transportation for America’s petition.

Then urge all your friends nationwide to do the same!
