I’m pleased to welcome five new members to TRU’s Board of Directors!
- Alex DeCamp – a mortgage banker from Detroit’s West Village involved in community development, historic real estate and transit-oriented development
- Charles Momon – a Vietnam veteran who spent 21 years with the VA from Detroit’s Grandmont/Rosedale neighborhood
- Donald Stuckey – a politically active freelance photographer and lifelong bus rider from Detroit
- Stephen Maiseloff – a Detroit resident and Lawrence Tech adjunct professor with regional business connections, and community organizing and event planning skills
- Wendy Ernzen – a fund development and nonprofit management consultant from Bloomfield Township with a broad network of community connections
These wonderful people submitted applications, were vetted by our Board Development Committee, recommended by the full Board of Directors, and approved unanimously by the TRU members attending our Annual Meeting on January 26.
Additionally, two of our board members have completed their first three-year term and were approved for re-election:
- Dave Norwood – a sustainable business expert who manages sustainability for, and lives in, the City of Dearborn
- Susan Titus – a long-time community activists who teaches at the Wayne State School of Social Work and lives in Detroit’s Lafayette Park
TRU’s Board is the official governing body of TRU, providing guidance and policy direction, setting our strategic plans and budget, overseeing adherence to legal obligations and organizational values, and ensuring TRU has the financial resources to succeed.
We greatly appreciate the generous commitment of time, funding, and leadership these great people volunteer.
