Help Shape the Detroit Region’s Transit Future!

FamilyOne of the most important jobs of the Regional Transit Authority is to develop a Regional Transit Master Plan that will shape our region’s transit development both over the next few years and for decades to come!

For the past six months, they’ve been listening to people throughout the region, meeting with transit stakeholders, studying our region’s needs, and evaluating past transit plans. They’ve got some ideas of the direction the Regional Transit Plan should take, but

  • Wednesday, October 21, at The Velocity Center, Oakland University Incubator, Sterling Heights, 4 – 8 p.m.
  • Thursday, October 22, at The Detroit Zoo, Royal Oak, 4 – 8 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 24, at The Michigan State University Center, Detroit, 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

They’re on a fast track to creating a great transit plan that the people of this region want, need, and are willing to pay for. They plan to finalize the plan for their Board to approve by January and for voters to decide on funding next November.
