European Transit Tour – this summer

The Midwest High Speed Rail Association is planning a tour of Germany and France this summer, focusing on "Livability Through Better Mobility."  They’ll tie together airports, high speed rail, street cars, bike paths, and sidewalks – and show the interconnectedness of different transit modes and how it affects the quality of life in a given city.  And of course, there will be plenty of non-travel time set aside for exploring these beautiful cities.  Here is the itinerary:

  • Sun, June 22: Arrive in Berlin, Germany
  • Mon, June 23: Berlin. Local sightseeing, museum visit
  • Tues, June 24: Berlin. Tour of the city transport system
  • Wed, June 25: Berlin to Muenster. Afternoon tour of bicycle city
  • Thurs, June 26: Strasbourg. Travel day (intercity train to Stuttgart, TGV train to Strasbourg)
