For the past year, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has been working on a State Long-Range Transportation Plan, a 25-year plan for transforming Michigan’s transportation system.
They now have a draft plan available – review the plan and provide your comments and suggestions before May 14 on their website.
MDOT gathered a huge amount of research in developing this plan, including in-depth studies of our state and how we use our transportation system, census data, and the responses of Michigan residents to a statewide survey. They also studied routes that connect our airports, borders and economic centers to identify the Corridors of Highest Significance to the Michigan economy. It’s all available online.
