SEMCOG’s Justice40 Communities Task Force (not explicitly a transit meeting)

This is the second meeting of SEMCOG’s Justice40 Communities Task Force, which works concurrently with the national commitment to Environmental Justice, and will advance the region’s underserved and underinvested communities through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Incorporating equity is a deliberate component of SEMCOG’s planning and implementation work. This task force will ensure all voices and communities are heard in regional planning and initiatives. Through this task force, SEMCOG will connect Justice40 communities to resources for which they are eligible and provide a space for collaboration and sharing of opportunities, challenges, and successes.

This second meeting will focus on SEMCOG public input processes, educational programs, and current approaches. A roundtable discussion will be held on policies and actions needed for increased equity and representation of Justice40 communities. The meeting will be hosted in-person at SEMCOG. A detailed agenda will be shared in advance of the meeting.
