Celebrating Ten Years of Transit Progress
In 1999, a handful of local residents got angry about Detroit's lousy transit and the lack of efforts to improve it. They decided to do something about it.
Here we are today, celebrating ten years of TRU's Detroit transit advocacy!!
Join us on Monday, November 16, to celebrate ten years of transit progress and TRU’s role in achieving it, and help launch our next decade of Detroit transit leadership.
When: Monday, November 16, 6:00 - 9:00pm
Where: Majestic Theatre, 4140 Woodward Ave., Detroit
In Detroit's midtown - convenient bus routes and parking available
Who: TRU leaders from past and present, other regional transit supporters, and 150 of our closest friends
What: Strolling hors d'oeuvres and mingling
A full dinner and presentation about TRU history, impact, and potential for the future
An opportunity to make a special gift towards future transit triumphs
Cost: $50 per person
Either mail a check to TRU's office or give online (please note that it is an event RSVP)
